Nature Knows Best

I visited the most fabulous cafe on Monday and was so impressed I feel compelled to spread the word. From the moment I arrived at The Grounds, Alexandria, I knew i was going to like it. Set within a heritage-listed, converted warehouse, this relative new-comer to the Sydney cafe scene has its own bakery, on-site coffee roasting facility and most impressively it's own garden (from which the chefs pluck produce for their delicious dishes). With its paired-back brick walls and clever cooking using the freshest of produce...the philosophy here is certainly one of simplicity and sustainability. The team at Concrete Playground call this buzzing venue, a 'homely, wholesome sanctuary'... and indeed it was!

Also taking inspiration from nature is one of our most highly regarded labels - Alex Monroe. Named after the designer himself, this world-renowned British jewellery label has made a name for itself due to Alex's passion for quality and originality. His hand-made, very wearable pieces are 'intricately-beautiful and whimsical', with nature continuing to be his 'greatest inspiration'. See below for some of the beautiful pieces we currently have in store.

COLOUR ME HAPPY!

At about the same time every year, most of us inevitably get lured in, either consciously or not, by the appeal of the black/white/grey combo. As the degrees start to drop, so, it seems, does our enthusiasm to wear colour. This year, let us be sure to include pops of colour in our fashion choices, whether by way of a bold, statement accessory such as the Orbell Python Clutch or a One Stop Shop like the fabulous Karla Spetic 'Verity' Dress in fire engine red.
Scroll down to see these stunning pieces plus others currently in store, as well as inspiration from the runways and red carpet.
